Genre Research
In order to gain inspiration for my final product, I researched four different popular film genres that I could feasibly work with. Below is my PowerPoint presentation which I uploaded onto SlideShare which contains this research.
After researching genres I have concluded that the four genres I have researched are all feasible to work in within my skills and budget. However if I consider making a Horror or Thriller trailer in particular, I must ensure that my actors and location are convincing. For example the majority of horror films are set in dark locations with low key lighting. Thus filming my actors in the middle of the day time would not be appropriate, as the location choice would not be overly convincing.
Marketing Campaigns
After researching marketing campaigns, I have concluded that the teaser trailer, posters and film magazine front cover are just a very small (yet important!) aspect of the marketing campaign.

The Brief
A promotion package for a new film to include a teaser trailer, together with:
- A film magazine front cover, featuring the film
- A poster for the film
